The “Bulgarian wings” Foundation is an independent organization which carries out its objectives, subject to national and international law. It works with nonprofit organizations in the country and abroad, with the relevant state bodies and institutions, local municipal governments and universities.
The Foundation was established by Decision № 1/14.05.2015 of the Sofia City Court (SCC).
The means to achieve the objectives of the foundation are:
1. Organization of seminars, training sessions and workshops related to military and aviation issues, working meetings with government representatives, state and local authorities concerned with the maintaining of the defense capability of our country;
2. Organization of aviation festivals, an exhibition of aviation and auxiliary equipment with Bulgarian and foreign participation;
3. Establishing cooperation with other organizations at home and abroad; such cooperation should serve as the basis for various social and support campaigns; organization of charity initiatives to help former and current employees of the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Interior, their families and the families of those who were lost in the line of duty;
4. Organize and support training and re-qualification of the military and employees from the Ministry of Interior and the State reserve force; Fundraising for scholarships intended for pupils and students with professional interests following the profile of the Foundation;
5. Organization and celebration of anniversaries associated with the history of the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Transport, as well as prominent representatives of those institutions;
6. Conducting information activities by supporting the publication of: books, magazines, newspapers, brochures, maintenance of web-sites on the Internet, the making and production of films, etc.;
7. Organization of joint initiatives and participation in projects with similar legal entities from the country and abroad;
8. Providing scholarships and support the education and training of young people in the country and abroad;
9. Financing education, scientific and research projects in the military field.
10. Fundraising and organizing the distribution of honorable annual awards intended for Bulgarian Army representatives, employees of the Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Transport;
11. Develop and maintain a catalog of monuments and memorable places associated with the act of heroism; organize volunteer groups to maintain them;
12. Supporting initiatives at state and municipal authorities, public organizations and individuals to develop new ideas and projects related to the strengthening and development of the Bulgarian Air Force;
13. Maintaining a working contact with the bodies of the Ministry of Defense, and other state and municipal authorities, legal entities and individuals, non-governmental organizations in the country and abroad and with the European Association of Aviation foundations;
14. Provide organizational support to legal entities and individuals associated with achieving the objectives of the Foundation.
